About YUX

YUX is a pan-African research & design company that mixes behavioral sciences, human computer interaction and machine learning to co-create tech and AI products tailored to African communities. What are we looking for

We are currently developing a project in Rwanda with a vital purpose: to improve access to healthcare for underserved populations by developing digital tools that help people seek and receive care. We are looking for an Research Operations Assistant to ensure the seamless execution of this initiative on the ground.
 

Your missions

As the Research Operations Assistant, you will be the backbone of our local activities, ensuring that our research and logistics run without a hitch. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Participants recruitment and Management: Support the recruitment and management of research participants for both on-site activities and online engagements.
  • Financial Administration: Handle precise expense tracking for the project in the country of operation to ensure budget compliance.
  • Payment Coordination: Manage participant payments within Rwanda, and potentially across East Africa, ensuring everyone is compensated accurately and on time.
  • On-Ground Logistics: Coordinate all local logistics, including venue scouting, transportation, and equipment handling to support our research and design teams.
     

Qualifications 

  • Previous experience in operations, or project coordination.
  • You must be highly organized and capable of managing multiple moving parts simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both internal teams and external project participants.
  • A strong interest in UX and Human-Centered Design (HCD) is a significant advantage.
  • Deep familiarity with the Rwandan or Kenyan context, particularly in Kigali and surrounding areas.
  • Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Kinyarwanda or Swahili is preferred.
